The sub-committee is responsible of identifying the need for new standards in the field of autonomous systems, particularly in areas related to signal processing. The sub-committee will collaborate with various stakeholders, including industry partners, academic institutions, and other IEEE committees, to gather input and ensure the standards are comprehensive and widely applicable. The sub-committee will review existing standards to ensure they remain relevant and effective in light of new technological advancements. It oversees the maintenance and periodic updating of standards to incorporate feedback from users and adapt to emerging trends. The sub-committee will promote the adoption of standards through workshops, seminars, and publications by cooperating with Special sessions and workshop sub-committee. It will work to increase awareness about the importance of standards in the development and deployment of autonomous systems, particularly in enhancing interoperability, safety, and reliability.
